Joachim Baan (1979) is a Dutch graphic designer with a passion for aesthetics and contemporary design. He’s a self made man, passionate with the will to stand out. Although he never went to an art academy he’s a guest lecturer at the Academy of Art in the Hague, speaker at several creative meetings, member of judging committees at graphic design awards and publisher of his own book 'For as long as I can't remember (ISBN 9090197907).
Joachim Baan started his career at the beginning of the 21st century in Amsterdam as a web- and graphic designer with the successful Internet agency Netlinq Framfab. A year later he moved to print media, working as a graphic designer with Oktober Inc. and did a variety of contemporary projects on- and offline. In 2004 he started a 3 year period at ...,staat, a creative advertising agency in Amsterdam, working on projects for Nike Europe, Levi's and Heineken International. Besides that he worked on personal projects for organisations such as the dance academy of Rotterdam, The city council of Utrecht and gallery Witte de With in Rotterdam. In February 2007 Joachim Baan decided it was time and went freelance as a senior graphic designer and photographer under the name Anothercompany (www.anothercompany.org).
